☄️ New Features

Edusign attendance recording 

We have recently partnered with Edusign, a learner management tool that automates attendance management and streamlines your administrative tasks. This new feature will allow your students to scan and sign-in to classes directly from your institution’s mobile app, providing one unified experience!

When a course is configured with an attendance sheet on the Edusign side, we retrieve the course information in order to display the link, button and sign-in icon in the app. Currently, there are two ways that students can record their attendance within the app:

• Sign in from the schedule – Students simply click on the link or button within their schedule, where they will then be redirected to a QR Code scanner. Once the QR Code has been scanned, all they have to do is sign, validate and that’s it! After validation of the signature, the visual action components disappear.

• Sign in via notifications – A notification is sent when the signing window is open. The student can then sign in directly by clicking on the notification received and will be redirected to the QR code scanner.

ISIC Students Deals 

Intended for establishments affiliated with ISIC, this new feature allows students to access the deals they can have, thanks to their ISIC student card directly from the app. All deals are accessible from the menu, where offers of the week are displayed as well as a wider choice of offers by category.

Students can benefit from the offers by clicking on the corresponding cell. They are then redirected to the offer on the ISIC website directly.

Please note: This functionality is only available if you already have the ISIC student card and requires at least version 13 of iOS to be installed on iOS devices.

✨ Enhancements/Improvements

Global in app:

• Payments: students can now see their payments in their local currencies 

• JobTeaser: we have changed the format of the dates display to make it more readable

• Calendar enhancements: we’ve added locations in all the views on the calendar so students can see in one glance where their class is taking place. The calendar detail page now also has an updated look

Android side:

• Students can now rotate any pictures that you send through the Report a Problem feature

• We have introduced a ‘loading’ display on the calendar and grades features when the app is fetching data

iOS side:

• We have harmonised the icons in the timetable notifications for consistency throughout the app

• We have introduced a ‘loading’ display on the News and Procedures features when the app is fetching data

• Accessibility: we have updated the label that appears when deleting notifications. We have also improved the voice-over on the Student ID feature so it’s reading all blocks together and not single lines

New features & improvements that we are currently working on

• Dark Mode – we are giving students a choice of screen options in their app settings so they can navigate with the dark theme all day long, keep it bright, or have it automatically change depending on the OS settings

• Webviews Enhancement – we will be enhancing the experience of webviews within the app to make it more user-friendly for students

• New Directory UI – we will be updating the user interface of the directory to make it more visually appealing for students and easier to use

• 3-Day Calendar View – to make it easier for students to plan their week, they will soon have the option to choose a 3-day view on the timetable
