Push Notifications from Community

As a Campus Cloud administrator and a Campus App user, Community is where all app users engage and communicate with each other. When there is a post in Community, users receive a push notification on their devices.

A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device when there is an activity in the Community. When a user gets a Channel Post notification for a default channel, this engages our Throttling feature in Campus Cloud.

This is designed to prevent notification fatigue and to prevent users from receiving multiple push notifications on their devices. If a user receives a Channel Post notification from a default channel, they will not receive a push notification from any default channels for the next few hours. Default channels are also known as auto-join channels. The throttling feature does not affect any posts or comments made in Private channels or peer-to-peer messaging.
