Services - A Detailed Breakdown

Services represent institutional or community-based services on your campus such as libraries, counselors, tutors, etc. By creating a Service using Campus Cloud, you can inform students about Services they can access through your Campus App. In this article you can find:

Create A Service

  • Click Manage, then click Services.

  • Click on Create Service.

  • Type a name and description.

  • Upload an Image.

  • Provide contact information such as a phone number, email address, and website (optional).

  • Enable Membership and Wall (optional). *

  • Turn on assessment (optional). **

  • Save.

(*) Turning on the membership wall for a 'Service' creates a group in the Community under the same host. Learn more on how to Use Community as a Host.

(**) Enabling assessment for Services allows you to create Service Providers, and collect feedback from students about services or specific service providers.

 

Edit/Delete/Disable Service Info

To edit your service information:

  • Click Manage then click Services

  • Locate your service in the list, and click its name

  • Click Edit

  • In Edit Service, make changes to details such as name, email address and website.

  • Once you have finished editing, click Save

To delete a service:

  • Click on "Manage" then click on "Services."

  • Locate your service in the list, and click on the X at the end of the service row.

  • Confirm delete.

To disable a Service's wall and membership:

  • Click on "Manage" then click on "Services."

  • Locate your service in the list, and click its name to go to Service Info.

  • Click “Edit.”

  • Go to "Membership and Wall" and select Disable.

  • Click “Save.”

Add a Service Member/Executive

If you are the manager of a campus service, ask your Campus Cloud administrator to make you a Service Executive.

To add a member:

  • Click Manage, then click Services

  • Search your service from the list 

  • Click on Members

  • Click on Add Member or select an existing member

  • Select the type 

  • Save

As a Service Executive, you can use Campus Cloud to:

  • Update information about your services such as name and location.

  • Create events.

  • Track attendance at events.

  • Gather student feedback about your events.

  • Designate service providers and gather student feedback about them.

Create Service Event

  1. Click on Manage, then Services.

  2. Search for an existing service or create a new service.

  3. Click on Events to create an event linked to your service.

  4. You can turn on the assessment. (*)

(*) Creating a service event is similar to creating an item through Events in Campus Resources. Know more about how to create an event with assessment.

By turning on the assessment you can Track Attendance at a Service Event by downloading the assessment results.

Create a Service Provider

To create a service provider:

  • Click "Manage" then click "Services."

  • Create a new service or locate your existing service in the list, and click its name to go to Service Info.

  • Click “Create Service Provider.” (*)

  • In the dialog box that appears, type the name and email address of the Service Provider.

  • Provide a feedback question. (optional)

(*) Turning on the assessment allows you to create a service provider.

You can provide a feedback question if your service has assessment enabled and feedback turned on. These options are set by a Campus Cloud administrator. Know more about roles and permissions.
