My Account Balance

This is the first type of Financial Integration we have introduced to Ready Campus. It allows students to access their transactions per term, sourced from their Student Information System.

Students can :

  • View charges to their account

  • View payments they’ve made

  • See the balance per term

  • Connect directly to the system where their account is managed

How to Activate this Integration

Account balance information is synced to Ready Campus from your Student Information System (SIS). Configuring the integrations is managed by our Implementation Team in partnership with your Academic Tech/IT department.

Supported Student Information Systems:

  • Banner

  • Peoplesoft

  • Anthology Student*

Flat file (.csv) is not supported for this feature.

*Note that Anthology Student does not provide a dedicated field for “term balance” so this value is calculated within CampusGroups as (total of charges) - (total of payments).

 

These integrations are one-directional feeds into CampusGroups. The integrated content is designed to help students manage their account by viewing their balances and co-curricular activities in one place, but it is not intended to replace your existing platforms. We provide links to the source system to help them manage their account in the system of record.

How to Make My Account Balance Available in a Hub

If you have the Ready Campus package, then the first step is for Ready Education’s Implementation Manager to activate the “My Account Balance” feature for your instance and configure the integration. For this they will need:

  1. the URL to the system where students can see more details about their balance, and manage their payments and charges

  2. the label you choose to display for the call-to-action button that appears on the full My Account Balance page in the platform

Once this is configured, an administrator from your institution can make the following access points available:

Add “My Account Balance” to a Hub menu

  1. Navigate to Admin > then Hubs > select the appropriate Hub > Features.

  2. Drag the “My Account Balance” item to wherever you want it to show in the menu.

Add “My Account Balance” to a Hub homepage

  1. From the Hub’s homepage, click to “Customize” then add a row, and within the row add the widget: “My Finances” then “My Account Balance”

Once your SIS integrations are activated by our team, and access points are added to your Hub. Students will be able to see the following content displayed on their homepage, and in their menu on web or mobile:

Note About Privacy

Due to the sensitive nature of this information, when impersonating another user in the system, you will not be able to see the user’s financial information.

For similar privacy reasons, when this widget is added to a Hub’s homepage, the details will be obscured until the user opts to “show” them.

Non-USD Currency

By default, the display of all monetary values uses USD (“$”). To change this, a platform admin can set the currency relevant to users in their tenant. Go to: Admin > Money & Finance > Currency. Any value here will be appended to the value users see for their account information (payments, charges, balances) integrated from the Student Information System (SIS). This includes support for currency codes (e.g. “EUR” converting to “€”).
