My Holds
This Financial Integration is available in the Ready Campus solution. It gives students a visible way to be alerted to any active holds that may impact their status with the school, directly from within the app they already use every day.
Building on our current integration with your Student Information System (SIS),* students can:
Get alerted to any active holds on their account, right from their homepage (on web) and home screen (on mobile). If there are no active holds, the alert disappears, ensuring they see only the information they need at any given moment.
View a clear summary of their active holds—along with the information they need to take action.
*Currently supported SIS platforms: Ellucian Banner, Peoplesoft, and Anthology Student
How to Activate this Integration
Hold information is synced to Ready Campus from your Student Information System (SIS). Configuring the integrations is managed by our Implementation Team in partnership with your Academic Tech/IT department.
Supported Student Information Systems:
Banner
Peoplesoft
Anthology Student
Flat file (.csv) is not supported for this feature.
These integrations are one-directional feeds into CampusGroups. The integrated content is designed to help students manage their account by viewing their holds, academics, and co-curricular activities in one place, but it is not intended to replace your existing platforms. We allow you to provide a link to the source system to help them manage their account in the system of record.
Timing: Note that we leverage a cache within the Ready Education platform in order to minimize load on your SIS. This means that students may need to allow up to 60 minutes for a cleared hold to reflect in their Ready Campus web/mobile app. We provide the date and timestamp to clarify when the information was last updated, as well as a disclaimer on the page to explain this expected latency.
How to Make ‘My Holds’ Available in a Hub
The first step is for Ready Education’s Implementation Manager to activate the “My Holds” feature for your instance and configures the integration.
For this they will need:
the URL to the system where students can see more details about their holds, and manage their payments and charges.
the label you choose to display for the call-to-action button that appears on the ‘My Holds’ page in the platform
Once this is configured, an administrator from your institution can make the following access points available:
Add “My Holds” to a Hub menu
Navigate to Admin > then Hubs > select the appropriate Hub > Features.
Drag the “My Holds” item to wherever you want it to show in the menu.
Add “My Holds” to a Hub homepage (web)
From the Hub’s homepage, click to “Customize.”
Use the “+” sign at the very top of your homepage to add a full-width row.
From that full-width row, click “+ Add” to add your widget.
Then select “My Finances” and then “Holds” and save.
This is a special widget because its display is conditional. Students will see this widget only when they have an active hold. If they have no active holds, it will not display.
For this reason, we highly recommend that you place it in a full-width row, preferably at the top of your homepage, above any branding or welcome widgets even.
Add “My Holds” to a Hub home screen (mobile)
Once you add “My Holds” to your hub menu, and set it to “web and mobile” this automatically adds the conditional widget to the home screen for that hub on the mobile app.
Any student with an active hold will see an alert on their home screen when they load that Hub on their device. There is not additional configuration you need to do to make this happen.
If you do not want this widget to appear on the mobile app’s home screen, simply remove “My Holds” from the menu for that Hub, or change the setting to “web only.”
Note About Privacy
Due to the sensitive nature of this information, when impersonating another user in the system, you will not be able to see the user’s holds.
Mobile App Version: This feature is available starting with mobile app version 2025.5.500. There is a known issue with loading ‘My Holds’ on iOS versions 15.8 or prior. If you encounter a case where the page fails to load, please update your iOS version to a current version.
