Stores
The Stores feature allows user to purchase or claim items within your platform. Groups can create stores so that users can browse a selection and pay with a credit card, PayPal account, or school account. This is a great way for campus leaders to sell products for their organization. It’s also a way to manage items that users claim, such as a food pantry or donation closet. How to create a Store
Manage your Group.
Select the Money dropdown and click on Stores.
Click Create Store or edit an existing store.
Provide a Store Name and populate any additional fields. Click Save.
How to add items to your Store
Navigate to your Store and add items for sale by click Add Product or Edit an existing product.
Provide a Product name, Price and populate any additional fields. Click Save.
We introduced functionality that lets you adjust inventory amounts for an existing item. As a result, all items must have an original “quantity” in order to calculate updated totals when the inventory is adjusted. If you have a product without a defined number of items, you can estimate a large number in the “quantity” field, and this number can always be adjusted later to limit the number of items available, if necessary.
How to organize your Store
Item Categories (optional):
If you want to organize Store item into categories, a Platform Admin can create category tags under Admin > Settings > Custom Values (Lookup). Select “Item Categories” from the drop-down menu, then Create Item Category Value.
These category tags will appear when creating/editing a Store item. If at least 1 Store item is categorized, then the Store will display with expand/collapse categories for easy browsing.
How to update quantities
Click the word “Adjust” next to an existing Store item to update its quantity as more product becomes available, or stock becomes reduced for any reason. Once the Store item is created, you cannot edit the original quantity (that field will be read-only). The “Adjust” editing option allows you to change the current quantity available so that it reflects what is actually on the shelves.
How to promote your Store
Click on the More icon and select. Copy Link to share your store.
How to track sales
Click on Sales to view a list of all customers, items sold and status information.
