Creating a Parent Event

Event Coordinators handling major events such as Parent and Family Weekend, Homecoming or Welcome Week often encounter the need for a more advanced event setup. To streamline the complexities of managing multifaceted events spanning multiple days, the Parent Event feature is recommended. Acting as a central hub, it consolidates all child events and provides a comprehensive agenda allowing attendees the flexibility to register for each event individually.

  1. Create the Parent Event

    • Create the event as you would create any event

    • Set the Start and End Dates to span the entire duration of all child events

  2. Create and Associate Child Events:

    • After establishing the Parent Event, proceed to create child events

    • For each event, navigate to Advanced Options and select the Parent Event dropdown

    • Choose the relevant Parent Event from the dropdown

  3. View Parent Event

    • Access the Parent Event to effortlessly view a comprehensive agenda of all connected child events
