By default, people who signed up for groups are not automatically considered as members. They cannot access group information until an officer has validated their membership.

To validate members, please follow the steps below:These users will not have access to the group until they are validated. In this article, we will show you how to both manually approve of new members and automatically approve of members.

Manually Validating New Members

  1. Manage your group

  2. Click on the Members then dropdown and select Current Members

  1. View a list of all members that need to be validated by clicking on the Members pending validation link

How to validate new members automatically

By default, people who register for a group need to be validated manually by group officers to be considered as a member.

  1. Manage your group

  2. Select Dashboard then Click on the Dashboard dropdown and select Settings

  1. Click on the Access & Privacy tab

  1. Navigate to the the Auto Validation dropdown

  1. and select how you would like to automaticall validate new members

  2. Click Save
