The API for Campus Cloud has been updated on December 10, 2024.

🌟 “Insights” dashboards are now powered by a new analytics platform

In order to improve the stability, scalability, and observability of our user analytics, we have migrated to a new Export-Transport-Load approach using Apache Airflow, an industry-standard tool with better monitoring and performance.

With this release, we’ve updated all dashboards found within the “Insights” area of Campus Cloud to populate graphs and reports with data points sourced from this new system.

Note: Due to subtle changes to the way data are calculated, you may observe minor discrepancies, but these should be limited to approximately a 2-5% threshold.

• One exception is the data point for “friendships,” which was previously counting users individually (Jane connecting with Joe resulted in 2 friendships), whereas now it is counting the number of connections (Jane connecting with Joe results in 1 friendship).

• Another exception is the data point for “likes,” which was previously counting likes on posts but excluding comments, whereas now it represents a total count of likes on both posts and comments combined.

The update has been applied to Campus Cloud instances in both US and Canadian environments.
