Managing Group Files

Your Group has to ability to store documents and photos within your group. Whether it is photos from an event or important meeting minutes, CampusGroups has everything you need to manage your files. Additionally, you can control the visibility of your photos, choosing to share them on your group page, your group website, or both.

  1. Manage your group

  2. Navigate to Files

  3. Click New Folder to create a new folder

  4. To add new files, select Upload and then choose what folder it should be stored in

  5. Click Share Link to create a public link to accessing the file

  6. Click on the More Icon and select Privacy to edit who has access to the file

  7. Here, you can manage both the visibility of files on the Group Website or Group Page and who can access them. On a standard Group Page, only group members can access the Photos and Files sections. However, if your group is configured as a Department, these sections will be visible to everyone on the platform.

Supported File Types and File Size Limit

CampusGroups currently supports the following file types: doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, csv, pdf, txt, png, gif, jpg, jpeg, bmp, mp3, mp4, zip, and pub.

Individual files uploaded to the platform must not exceed 100 MB. Files larger than this limit may fail to upload or return an error.

If your file exceeds 100 MB (for example, larger video files), we recommend splitting it into multiple smaller files so that each part remains under the size limit. This will allow the files to upload successfully.
