Community Hub Widget Glossary

The Community Hub in CampusGroups provides a variety of widgets designed to enhance engagement, streamline communication, and offer users easy access to important resources. These widgets allow organizations to create a connected, interactive experience for their members, whether through social media integration, event management, course tracking, or real-time notifications.

Communication & Engagement

  • Chat – Enables real-time messaging between users.

  • Email Inbox – Provides an integrated email system for communication.

  • Notifications – Sends alerts and updates to users.

  • Polls – Allows users to vote and provide feedback on topics.

Content & Media

  • Photos – Displays images shared within the community.

  • YouTube – Embeds YouTube videos for easy access.

  • Facebook – Integrates Facebook content into the platform.

  • Instagram – Embeds Instagram posts and feeds.

  • Twitter – Displays Twitter/X updates within the hub.

  • WebView – Embeds external web pages for additional content.

  • News – Provides updates and announcements for the community.

  • Pages – Creates custom informational pages within the platform.

Navigation & Accessibility

  • Maps – Displays location-based data and directions.

  • Google Maps – Integrates with Google Maps for enhanced navigation.

  • Group of Menus – Organizes multiple menu options for easy access.

  • ID Card Menu Section – Provides a digital ID card feature for users.

  • Deep Link – Allows direct access to specific sections within the platform.

Gamification & Recognition

  • User Leaderboards – Tracks and displays individual user rankings based on activity.

  • Group Leaderboards – Ranks groups within the platform based on participation and engagement.

Utilities & Resources

  • Saved – Allows users to bookmark or save content for later.

  • Stores – Provides access to an online store for organization merchandise or event-related items.

  • Weather – Displays real-time weather updates for the user’s location.

  • Rooms Reservation – Enables users to book rooms and spaces for events or meetings.

  • My Courses – Provides a centralized location for course management and tracking.

  • Virtual Fairs – Offers an online experience for users to connect with groups and explore opportunities.
